New DIG of Hazaribagh Range Assumes Office: Special Focus on Security and Public Cooperation
Hazaribagh: On the auspicious occasion of the New Year, the Hazaribagh Range has received new police leadership. The new Deputy Inspector General (DIG) officially assumed charge today. After taking over his responsibilities, he interacted with the media to share his priorities and future plans regarding the security of the region.
The new DIG stated that he is already familiar with the area, having previously served as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Chatra district. He emphasized that his primary goal would be to strengthen the security apparatus across the five districts under his jurisdiction—Hazaribagh, Chatra, Koderma, Giridih, and Ramgarh. He clarified that the police administration would work in close coordination with the SPs of all districts to ensure peace and safety.
Police-Public Coordination
The DIG highlighted 'public cooperation' as a vital element in police functioning. He stated:
"The core objective is for the police to work for the people and with the support of the people. The true task of the police is to instill a sense of security in the minds of the citizens."
Discussing the regional challenges, he mentioned that since he assumed office today, he would gather feedback from the SPs of all districts to formulate a concrete strategy based on their inputs.
New Year Wishes
Upon taking charge, the DIG extended New Year greetings to all residents of the range. He expressed his wishes for a happy, safe, and prosperous year for everyone. On behalf of the police administration, he assured that the department would work with full dedication to ensure the safety of the general public.
